I LOVE NUTMILK! But what's wrong with the nutmilk I buy from the store?
Nut milk you buy from the store has no nutritional value. There is only 2% nuts and it is mostly water, sugar and additives which you don't really need.
SO WHY!! Should I milk my own nuts?
The only way to get the nutritional value from drinking nut milk is to drink it cold-pressed, which means it has been processed without heat. You can buy cold-pressed but it is very expensive, ranging from $8 - $16 for 12oz...
OR you can make it yourself and get...
- the health benefits...
- save a ton of $$$!
- You can also customize your milk to suit your taste...
and what doesn't taste better fresh?
I didn't know you could make nut milk yourself... HOW DO YOU MILK AN ALMOND?
You make the pulp by blending nuts and water with whatever other ingredients you like, then you put it into a cheese cloth bag and strain it. This method is quite messy but the nut buster will change that.
WHAT'S UP WITH THE NUT JOKES?
Why not make jokes? Life is more fun when you have laugh.
We also want to make the concept of healthy, fresh living more accessible by toning down the elite vibe. We want you to feel like you're a part of the community and there's no better way to make people feel included than to make them smile.
I WANT TO DO IT... WHERE CAN I BUY A KIT!
The Nut Sacks are for sale on our website, www.milkyournuts.com. We are also spending much time at markets around PDX to meet with the local nut milkers... currently we are at Beaverton Markets and will soon be stocked at Market of Choice :)
